This morning on the way to school, Skye, asked me to please turn off the radio.
(I secretly love this, because it means he has something important he wants to talk about).
So he starts:
Mom, Let’s talk about our goals.
Ok.
Mom, You know I have a goal to go to Pompeii, right?
Yes, I do know about that goal!
Well, I want to go to Pompeii, and you know I have that goal to go on a cruise, right? I was thinking, we can go to Pompeii when we go to Italy to do the cruise!
he continues, nearly shouting with excitement:
Mom, this is the first time that I am going to get two goals, by going for one!!
That is so cool Skye!
Yes, it is SO cool. and what’s cooler is the fact that he has figured this out at his age of 7!
It brought on a great conversation about how we grow or decay, and how Goals bring about growth in all areas, so it is natural to be getting more than one goal as we grow.
It also reinforced his role in getting the goal.
I’d love to say that my son is brilliant and we passed that off in our genes… 
But, let’s be real.
This is simply the result of the Success Education curriculum that we use.
As I was doing one of the exercise in the curriculum about Goals increasing all areas of our lives, just a few weeks ago, I set a goal of being of greater influence to Skye with the principles in this education. I told no one about my goal. and today, I got more evidence, that who I am being is absolutely impacting him!
So grateful!
